After taking a spectacular start, Agneepath has been crowned the highest opener of all time. The film not only left audiences across the country spellbound, it also took the ticket window by storm.
Although the film’s collections dipped a little on day two, tradewallahs believe it will regain its momentum on Saturday or Sunday and will wrap up its four-day weekend with gigantic numbers. The figure the trade is expecting is Rs 75 crore for the mega-starrer.
In Mumbai, Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines says, “Agneepath saw a fabulous day one in Mumbai as well as nationally. The second day dipped a little but the weekend will end on a remarkable note. The second day’s collections will wrap at Rs 15-17 crore domestically. The four-day weekend will amount to Rs 75 crore all-India and around Rs 25 crore in Mumbai.”
In Gujarat, Ajay Bagbai of Rajvi Trade Link agrees. “The film saw a minor drop on Friday, compared to its opening numbers. It will wrap up its weekend at Rs 7-8 crore in the Gujarat region and Rs 75 crore domestically.”
In Delhi-UP Sanjay Ghai of Mukta Arts says collections of Agneepath registered a 20 to 25 per cent drop on Friday and will earn Rs 3 crore in our region. But the weekend will be much better. All-India nett collections for four days will be around Rs 75 crore, and in the NCR belt, collections will close at Rs 15 crore.”
Collections of Agneepath dropped as much as 60 per in East Punjab cent on Friday. Dharam Pal of Paramount Pictures reveals, “But the weekend will gather better numbers. Today the film will earn approximately Rs 65 lakh, and the weekend will clock more than Rs 6 crore.”
In CP, Sarang Chandak of Shri Rang Films adds, “The film will wrap its second day at Rs 90 lakh and the weekend will hit around Rs 4 crore. It will be a delightful weekend for the film.”
In Nizam, Ravi Machchar of Sahyog Films says, “The film is enjoying a remarkable run at the box office. It took an impressive opening and has turned in stable numbers on day two as well. On Friday, it will collect around Rs 1 crore in Nizam and the weekend will be fabulous.”
In West Bengal, Debasish Dey of Aum Moviez says, “The second-day numbers for Agneepath are Rs 60-70 lakh in West Bengal. Saturday will be huge for the film and Sunday’s numbers will be impressive as well. The weekend will close at Rs 3.4-3.5 crore in our circuit.”
In Mysore, BH Basha of Bahar Enterprises concludes, “After taking a generous opening, Agneepath is still going strong and collected Rs 60-65 lakh on Friday. The fill will cross Rs 3.7 crore at the weekend.”
