Mumbai Film Festival(MAMI)

Best Intentions

Director: Adrian Sitaru

COUNTRY: Romania

Director Adrian Sitaru’s second feature film, Din dragoste, cu cele mai bune intenţii is a new ‘part of the pack’ in Mumbai Film Festival. With various new techniques in direction of photography, Adrian stands apart due to his unique presentation.

The story is set in present-day Bucharest, Romania. It is the story of a mother-son relationship and is sure to make you miss your mother. It is about Alex (Bogdan Dumitrache) and his ‘best intentions’ regarding his mother who is hospitalised. Alex, who cares excessively for his mother, is portrayed as neurotic.

Despite the slow pace, the movie keeps you engaged and is thought-provoking. The cinematography is unique. The concept is heartfelt and evokes a sense of empathy, which is the touchstone of a successful film. Full credit to the director!
