Producers Sunil Bohra and Anurag Kashyap, and director Hansal Mehta’s biopic Shahid will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September. The film features Rajkumar Yadav and Prabhleen Sandhu in lead roles and is based on lawyer and human rights activist, Shahid Azmi. The activist had been defending a key accused in the 26/11 case when he was shot dead. Co-produced by Abhishek Vvyas, the film will have its world premiere at the festival’s City To City programme, which focuses on Mumbai this year.
