Actor, director and producer, Dinesh Thakur passed away at the age of 65, in Mumbai today. The actor had been admitted to the Kokilaben Dirubhai Ambani Hospital recently and died due to brain hemorrhage and kidney failure.
He made his film debut as an actor in 1971, with Mere Apne, written and directed by Gulzar, and followed it up with Basu Bhattacharya’s Anubhav, Griha Pravesh and Rajnigandha. He also wrote story, screenplays and dialogues for films like Ghar, Aastha and Tere Pyaar Mein.
The prayer meeting will be observed on Monday, September 24 at Prithvi Theatre, from 6 pm to 7pm. Our heartfelt condolences to the departed soul.
