The Ek Tha Tiger trailer has already created a buzz online. Today the cast of the film along with director Kabir Khan launched the first song Chehra Hai Mashallah, in Mumbai’s suburban theatre Gaiety Galaxy, along with the multiplex’s owner Manoj Desai. The song has a sufiana touch to it. Here’s what happened at the media meet.
Salman Khan: My father has worked with Yash Raj, so working with them was like a family affair. I really enjoyed working on this film especially with Kabir Khan. He is brilliant and always has new ideas. It’s also very different from what I have done before.
Katrina Kaif on the song: I think Salman is a better dancer than I am because he took a day to shoot the song whereas I took six days. That should tell you what a brilliant dancer he is.
Katrina Kaif on doing so many songs: I am lucky that I am getting so many offers for
so many songs but I hate calling them Item ‘songs’. I am the lead actress in this film so it’s not an item song.
Salman on Katrina: She is a true friend and so, when someone asks her to do a song, she easily accepts. Like, Karan Johar is a good friend of Katrina so she did the Chikni chameli number in Agneepath. Then I asked her for Bodyguard. She has such a big heart and never says ‘no’.
I have never met anyone in the industry who works as hard as Katrina does. That’s why she’s here. She keeps on working till she feels she has given her best. That’s hard to find. I believe Kabir has captured the chemistry very well.
Kabir Khan: Ek Tha Tiger is about Tiger played by Salman Khan, who is a spy and also falls in love. There are many twists and turns and audiences already like the dialogue.
Kabir Khan on the film not releasing in Pakistan: The film has not been banned in Pakistan. There is an NOC which has to be passed before a film releases. So the film cannot release over there till the NOC is granted. Given a chance, we will definitely promote our film in Pakistan.
Salman on Kabir: No doubt, Kabir is a great director but he loves to shoot in chilly places. When we went to Cuba, it was freezing at night.
