“There was an ugly incident last night where my friends and the ladies with us were abused and I was assaulted.

I was hit and I defended myself. I have been to the police station to answer the requirements of law as I am a law abiding citizen. I have also filed a complaint about what happened last night and I am confident justice will be done.

I have seen the interviews given on TV and they look like decent people and I cannot believe that the same people were so aggressive the night before and the lies that they are saying about me with such straight faces.

I think they have the CCTV footage in the restaurant that will prove everything.

By now, we all know that the film is a South Indian remake of the Kannada hit Veera Madakari and also a remake of the Telugu film Vikramarkudu. But UTV Stars, an associate channel of the company has been airing the Kannada versions of the film dubbed in Hindi titled Veer Madakari Iss Sadi Ka almost every weekend.

Now whether it is a slick marketing strategy for the channel to make the audience aware of the film or sheer oversight only time will tell. We just hope that the plan does not boomerang for the production house.

The Ides of March an American political film directed by George Clooney is being released by Reliance Home Video & Games on DVD & VCD. The film is an adaptation of Willimon’s 2008 play Farragut North and the film stars Ryan Gosling, George Clooney, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei, Jeffrey Wright, and Evan Rachel Wood. The movie has been nominated for The 84th Academy Awards in the Writing (Adapted Screenplay) category, screenplay by George Clooney & Grant Heslov and Beau Willimon. The DVD and VCD are available at Rs 599 and 299 respectively.

The film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Run Milkha Run) will tell the story of the legendary Indian runner Milkha Singh, who won 77 of the international footraces out of the 80 that he entered.

The film will be directed by Rakeysh Mehra, and produced by ROMP and Viacom 18 India. It will feature talented Farhaan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor.

The title of the film has gone through a lot of changes from Happy New Year to I Love New Year, finally the name I <3 NY has been finalised. Director Vinay Sapru confirmed the news and said, “I <3 NY, stands for a very old and known saying about New York, most of people are familiar with this, as it’s commonly  seen on t-shirts, caps or banners, it basically means I love New York. The film is a romantic comedy on the lines of Chupke Chupke with a little bit of action choreographed by Tinnu Verma.”

When the film was announced, it was said to be releasing in January 2012, but now with even February coming to an end, there is no news about the film. Sapru clarified this and said, “The release strategy is being worked upon by Bhushanji, I have no control over it. As far as our job goes, we are very much on target with just one song to be shot, even the post production and edit has begun.”
