It seems to have become standard practice for every producer nowadays. When shooting begins, the producer invariably announces that he’s working with a moderate budget. The film is completed on a moderate budget but the producer adds value to the project and, suddenly, they claim the budget is much higher than was announced.
So this financier and producer recently made an animation movie. When the producer was making the film, he told everyone associated including his friends that the movie was based on an epic and was being made for a stipulated price. Now the film is complete and since a big name lent his voice for one of the characters, this producer financier has changed his tune.
Now he’s telling everyone he invested pots of money in the project. In fact, the budget he’s citing now is ten times more then the original figure he claimed when he was making the film. Such is our industry and industrywallahs, dearies!
