Nila Madhab Panda’s new film Jalpari — The Desert Mermaid has been invited to compete at the Sixth Annual 2012 Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA), where the finest feature-length films from over 40 Asia-Pacific countries compete for nominations.

Starring Parvin Dabas, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Suhasini Mulay and Harsh Mayar (I Am Kalam boy wonder), and introducing Lehar Khan and Krishang Trivedi, Jalpari’s music has been done by international sensation Midival Punditz. Jalpari will release in India on July 20.
