Pune, a growing urban centre, has added one more multiplex to its entertainment portfolio; this one courtesy Cinemax. The exhibition company, whose newest property is located at Inorbit Mall in Pune, now has 36 properties across India. The company hopes that Pune’s reputation as a cultural hub of the Marathi film industry will boost the popularity of its new venture.

The multiplex is equipped with its benchmarked technology, lighting and acoustic sound system. In addition, this property offers luxurious recliner seats, a variety of gourmet food, a personalised café service and computerised ticketing. With these state-of-the-art amenities and a splendid movie-watching ambience, Cinemax offers an experience to savour.
The 4-screen multiplex has a total seating capacity of 989, which are divided into: Screen 1 (256), Screen 2 (256), Screen 3(315), and Screen 4 (162). Showcasing Hindi, Marathi and English movies in 2D as well as 3D; ticket rates range from Rs 100 to Rs 250 varying also with show timings.
The box-office counter displays show timings and ticket prices. The cinema is designed with chic and lively colours, and contemporary lighting makes the lobby look vigorous and energetic. With marbled flooring and a special lounge area, the foyer is striking.
The ceiling of the lounge has a bright, flame-like motif, with purple walls, sofas and a red floor to compliment it. The entire lounge area reflects an affluent look and enhances the feeling of space. The food court is simple and is aglow in contemporary lighting. With multi-ethnic, colored tiles, the floor puts a definite spring in your step. The exterior of the multiplex has double-skin cladding on the top with a skylight and elements of glass in a contemporary architecture. Car parking is provided by the mall.
Concession stands provide a variety of edibles, including gourmet meals and combos. Flavoured popcorn and sandwiches are also available. And, oh, there’s also a baggage counter conveniently provided for avid shoppers!
