Here’s what the programmers of various multiplex chains across India have to say about the first day (so far) of RA.One:
Mukesh Unchade of PVR Cinemas: The response has been outstanding. At PVR multiplexes across India, the first-day collections of the film are more than 90 per cent. The 3D shows are running house full and doing much better than the 2D shows. There are only a handful of tickets left for the last show. In Mumbai, RA.One took an opening of more than 95 per cent.
Satish Kondvikar of Inox: The opening of RA.One at Inox outlets all over India was around 85 per cent. The audience has preferred the 3D shows to 2D.
Jitendra Chouhan of Satyam Cinemas: At Satyam Cinemas, all-India, the opening of RA.One was over 60 per cent. The film has been strong and is gaining momentum.
Prakash Narayan Tendurkar of Broadway: The opening of RA.One in Broadway all over India was over 70 per cent. It could have been more but the initial 3D shows were cancelled due to content issues.
Hira Chaudary Of DT Cinemas: The opening of RA.One in DT Cinema across India was around 45 per cent and we’ve already sold 60-65 per cent tickets for tomorrow.
Susanta Panda Of Glitz: Three out of seven cinemas are screening RA.One in 3D, while other four in 2D. The opening of RA.One is about 80 per cent in our chain all over India.
Anshu Kapoor of Fun Cinema: RA.One took a 92-per cent opening in South India, while in North India, it was around 50 per cent. The film is gaining momentum everywhere.
