Last week, in this column, we revealed that Reliance Entertainment was all set to produce more movies, after keeping a low profile for a while. Last week, we also reported that the corporate house had roped in AR Murugadoss to direct a film for them.
Now we learn that, in addition to Murugadoss, the corporate studio is talking to several other big directors too. It seems, the decks have been cleared for a sequel to Namastey London. A source from Akshay Kumar’s office tells us there has been a flurry of meetings between Kumar and the Reliance team and that the sequel has finally been locked.
Being directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the leading lady has not been finalised yet, but Kumar has been signed on to play the leading man.
PS: Reliance Entertainment is also in the running to pick up Farah Khan’s next directorial venture, Happy New Year, featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
