Karan Johar has finally unleashed his publicity blitzkrieg for his next directorial venture Student Of The Year (SOTY). His plan: to feed the audience juicy tidbits to tantalise them to watch his mega-venture.
Thus, Johar recently launched the trailer of the film, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Next week, get ready to watch the songs of the film, one after another. We, at Box Office India, had the pleasure of watching three songs, and all we can say is that they are superbly tuned and magnificently picturised. Needless to add, music is the backbone of every film made by Karan Johar’s home production – Dharma Productions.
The first song, Dance, showcases the energy of all three youngsters – Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. This song is a treat for the young crowd. Ditto the Kukkad song, which is picturised in a college campus.
But the song that steals your heart is Ishq wala love, again, picturised on the three debutants. It’s a romantic song which would ordinarily need a mature actor to give it the right expression but these three talented actors do a brilliant job. Kudos to Johar who extracts the best from his cast. And, of course, being a romantic number, the song has the Karan Johar stamp all over it.
Judging by the talent of these three newcomers and the fact that the film is helmed by Karan Johar, look forward to another blockbuster from one of the most talented directors we have.
