Raaz 3 yet another horror venture by Vishesh Films is back. The venture by Vishesh films has always stand up to it’s mark. Raaz 3 is also a comeback film for many in Vishesh Films like Vikram Bhatt director of Raaz 3 working with Vishesh films after Footpath (2003) so is Bipasha Basu. Written by Shagufta Rafique and directed by Vikram Bhatt, Raaz 3 trailer is much promising. And here is what happened at the trailer launch of the film…
Mahesh Bhatt
Raaz 3 is very special to me as after a very long time we all are working together. Vikram Bhatt I must say is a very great director in today’s lot. Raaz 3 is about all of us (entertainers), it shows a fear which we all have when we reach the stardom, what if we lose it? And how to achieve it all again. And I must say Bipasha Basu has done a great job, she has given her best. She told us if you can touch the darker side of me, I will give my best and that’s what she has done in the film.
Raaz 3 is like a homecoming for me. I remember my first day when my father took me to Mahesh sir and I said I want to become a director like you. And since then their tremendous support to me and my first film Janam and then came films like Fareb, Ghulam and Raaz which all set a new trend to our industry. My journey was not possible without them. And today once again I am back home with my star cast too Bipasha Basu and Emraan Hashmi, whom I first directed in Footpath. But Raaz 3 takes you to another level. Without Bhatt’s it was not possible.
Shagufta Rafique on writing such a script
Since childhood I have heard of black magic, spirits and I have always believed in it. And my belief has helped me writing such a script which is so real. When Bhatt sahab told me that he wants to make Raaz 3 I forced him to allow me to write the script because I so wanted to write in this genre. The film is not based on any one’s real life but I have taken real life incidence and stories definitely.
I am flattered that Bhatt sahib has given me Raaz 3, we were always very close though I was not doing their films but Mukesh sir and I have remained close friends. Bhatt counts me as a family and Mahesh sir has told me we will work on best of our project and that’s Raaz 3. The script and my character were so difficult that I had to say yes. I have gone to another level to do this role. It was not an easy character; I have to bring out my emotional and darker side for this film. Thanks to director Vikram Bhatt who made it possible.
Bipasha on her character
The character which I play is close to any actor. As an actor every Friday changes their life. It’s a fear that every single performer in the world has, we are prisoners of fame. And that’s why I could perform Sanaya, and I had a powerhouse performer besides me, Emraan Hashmi who helps you getting better with every scene and a director like Vikram Bhatt who motivates you to give your best.
When I was working on Raaz, Emmy was the assistant director, when quiet and shy guy. So I have seen him as a director and as an actor how he has grown. I have worked with him in Footpath and now in Raaz 3.
Emraan Hashmi on starting his career as an assistant director
I was a very bad director, and I used to go to sets to ask Bhatt sahab that it’s high time you cast me in your film, I am ready to act. I remember Vikram directing Bipasha in Raaz. Raaz is such a venture which with every sequel comes out with it’s best. As everyone knows Vikram is master of horror films and with Raaz 3 which he has shot in 3D will be one of the best horror films he has directed ever.
Mukesh Bhatt on Why Eesha was missing?
May be Eesha is not happy that she is not in the poster of Raaz 3, and the film prominence more on Bipasha. (Publicity gimmick)
Mukesh Bhatt on whether he will take black magic to achieve success
Yes, I will. I am a producer I look for business and more money if I can earn more money by black magic I will do it.
Bipasha Basu on whether he will take black magic to achieve success or does she believes in it
I don’t think as a person I will ever do it. But yes I have heard of black magic, ghosts and because you hear so many stories around them. So I do believe in them as I am a religion person who believes in god too.
