Two films released this week – Eagle Home Entertainment’s Jumbo 2 and United Colors Entertainments’ Be-Careful. Jumbo 2 was an animation film and failed to impress the audience while Be-Careful also flopped at the box office. But the talk of the trade is the upcoming RA.One.
On Friday’s releases, Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines says, “In Mumbai, the opening so far has been a disaster and shows have been cancelled for want of an audience. Among the five films that released last week, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge is still doing well.”Collections were equally bad in Delhi, where G D Mehta of Bobby Arts International avers, “Both films have had a poor opening of about 5 to 10 per cent. Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge tops the list of the five films that released last week.”
Ditto in Mysore. B H Basha of Bahar Enterprises says, “This week’s films have received a very bad opening, about 10 per cent, and the films that released last week have done average business.”
It was no different in Assam, where Siddharth Goenka of Goenka Enterprise reveals, “There is negligible audience so far. The film-going audience is waiting for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer RA.One. The first and second day collections of the film will be mind blowing. Last week’s films are below average.”
According to Sunil Bansal of Yash Raj Jai Pictures Pvt Ltd, “There has been no audience for Friday’s two releases. Last week’s films also did not to do a great job at the box office. But, of the whole lot, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge did some business but not up to the mark.”
Be-Careful did not release in Punjab, and Dharam Pal of Paramount pictures says, “The films that released last week have fared badly.”
