It seems that Sher Khan, starring Salman Khan in the lead, will take more time to make than anticipated and Sohail Khan will not be able to wrap it up in time for Eid release next year. So the Khan brothers have decided to remake Tamil blockbuster Kanchana.

But there’s a catch. They have been speaking to the producer and director of the original, and the director, Lawrence, is adamant about directing the remake himself. Sources close to Lawrence reveal that he had pencilled in a clause in the original agreement that if the film is remade in any language, he would direct it .

However, the good news is, the producer has all but convinced Lawrence not to be so insistent. Now some more good news – sources close to the Khan brothers tell us that Sanjay Dutt will play a pivotal role in the remake. Watch this space!
