Apoorva Lakhia’s remake of the 1973 cult film Zanjeer was in the news due to writer duo Salim-Javed’s opposition to the remake. A few months later, the film hit another rocky patch when certain scenes had to be re-written due to their similarity with Ajay Devgn’s Singham. According to sources, actor Prakash Raj, who was part of Singham, had suggested certain changes in the script of the remake since they seemed similar to Singham.
Now Raj clarifies, “This is completely false. Apoorva Lakhia has worked really hard on this
film. I was really surprised to read such a thing. I have not vouched for any such thing. My inputs to the film have always been as an actor and I am very happy with the script, role and the way the film is shaping up.”
