Bharat: Making of the wedding number Aithey Aa

The posters, the teaser and the trailer of Bharat have highly impressed them and have grabbed several eyeballs. Almost three songs from the film are out. The third song is  Aithey aa, which is a foot-tapping number and its perfect for the wedding season. The song is composed by Vishal Dadlani & Shekhar Ravjiani, the song has been penned down by  Irshad Kamil.

Recently, the making of the song is out by the makers in the video, you can see the glimpse of the song and also people involved in the making talks about the song.

According to the director Ali Abbas Zafar, "Aithey aa, is set in the late 80s, it is a song that resonates with the character of Katrina Kaif. It's basically a girl who is in command telling a guy - I really like you and why are you running away from me. That's where the word Aithey aa came in from which means come here in Punjabi."

He also said, "The song needs to be played on the face than the body so that we can see the lyrics and they can be expressed well through. The way it is shot it is very Indian and the groove that it has a hip hop beat."

Katrina says, "I like that part of the song where there are attitude and fierceness of Kumud character." Talking about the brief from the director she says, "Ali, explained to me that have you ever seen these people Punjabi dance in the Punjabi wedding with this bindaas attitude and freedom when they dance."

Music directors Vishal-Shekhar have adapted a wedding folk song from Madhya Pradesh for Aithey aa.

Vaibhavi Merchant who has choreographed the song says it was a challenge for her as she had never done 'an expressive thumkedaar song with Katrina' before. She continues, "This was like a classic sangeet song. I kept the mood very easy and light so that if anybody is watching the song should feel what fun these guys have. When I saw the song the way Katrina rehearsed and she came prepared she has done such a fabulous job, while Salman when he broke into the song he took it to a next level, he does his variation and his version of the hook. Their hook steps are totally different."
