Prior to the release of the film, Box Office India spoke to Dhanush about his future projects. The actor spoke about his Tamil film Asuran directed by Vetrimaaran. Talking about the film he said, " It is probably one of the toughest films I have ever done. It has been a mentally and physically draining film. It is approaching completion. I have a lot to say about this film but it is too soon to say anything now."
Every time Vetrimaaran and Dhanush have teamed up, the result has been fantastic. After Pollaadhavan, Aadukalam and Vada Chennai, this is their fourth film together.
When asked about working with his brother, director Selvaraghavan, Dhanush promptly replied, "Selvaraghavan’s next film will be with me."
The brothers share a very close bond. Dhanush credits Selvaraghavan for his cinematic success. They worked together for the first time in Kadhal Kondein; Selvaraghavan as director and Dhanush as an actor. They went on to make two more films; Pudhupettai and Mayakkam Enna.
