Do Dilon Ke Khel Mein is a story of childhood friends, Rajesh Khanna and Anu Kapoor. Rajesh Khanna returns with his wife Kiran Juneja from London and wishes his son Rohit Nayar to marry a Punjabi girl. Whereas, Anu Kapoor, who is settled in Mumbai, wants his daughter, Nausheen Ali Sardar, to marry a Punjabi while his wife, Kishori Shahane, wants her son- in- law to be a South Indian like her.
Meanwhile Rohit Nayar and Nausheen Ali Sardar have met during an outing and come to hate each others’ guts. When they learn of their respective parents’ plan to marry them off, the duo devices ways to create problems between the families. But, they soon realize that they love each other and try to mend the damaged ties between the two families.
Rajesh Khanna is good. Rohit Nayar, making his debut, has a long way to go. Nausheen Ali Sardar is fair. Anu Kapoor is good and brings some relief during his scenes. Satish Kaushik is his usual self.
Akash Pandey who is the director as well as the writer of the film lacks in originality and dishes out this 60s fare. Editing needed to be crisper.
Do Dilon Ke Khel Mein is poor.
