There has been a generous buzz ever since the makers announced Mrs Serial Killer, a Netflix Original from India. Now we already know that Jacqueline Fernandez will foray into the web space with the show. Speculations have been rife for quite some time now that Mohit Raina who wooed the audience with URI: The Surgical Strike early this year will play the male lead opposite the Race 3 actor in the show.
In an exclusive conversation with team Box Office India, the actor dropped hints about being part of it. “Well, I cannot say much about it until and unless something is officially announced. I hope it happens. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I want it to happen,” he said.
Mrs Serial Killer revolves around a woman whose husband is framed and imprisoned as a serial killer. However, a doting wife must perform a murder exactly like the serial killer, to prove her husband's innocence. While Shirish Kunder will direct the thriller, his wife and director, Farah Khan Kunder will produce it.
Mohit has been garnering a lot of praise for his portrayal of a journalist, Vedant Rathod, in the ZEE5 Original series, Kaafir, which just began streaming on the OTT platform. We are sure that the Mrs Serial Killer will be yet another feather added to his hat as far as his digital journey is concerned.
On a related note, the will also be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s Shiddat, also starring Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan and Diana Penty, that will hit the screens in Summer 2020.
