EXCLUSIVE: These yesteryear actresses inspired Katrina Kaif's look in Bharat

We know that Bharat will see Salman Khan aging from his 20s to his 60s. The trailer shows us his jawaani in 1964 when he is seen romancing Radha, a trapeze artist, played by Disha Patani. We also are treated to Bharat’s older self, a senior citizen with wrinkles, grey hair and a white moustache.

Katrina Kaif who plays Kumud aka Madam Sir in the film will also undergo a physical transformation. We recently talked to her where Miss Kaif told us that she first appears in the film in the year 1975 and we will continue to see her right until 2010 where she will be seen as an elderly woman in her early 60s.

Her ethnic look in the film is grabbing a lot of attention. Kat, along with director Ali Abbas Zafar, flew to Millennium, a supplier of prosthetics and special make-up FX, in London to get her look right. The diva revealed that the reference points for her look in Bharat were two iconic actresses. She said, “We gave them references of Nafisa Aliji and Rekha.” Now that is a big revelation!

She further added, “We told them that these are the women who are really gorgeous and elegant even at their present age. But well, we can only hope to achieve that (Laughs). We wanted Kumud to look as elegant and delicate as them.”

We cannot wait to watch her giving us major saree goals in the film!
