Here is what Oviya about her return to Malayalam cinema

hough Oviya has been in the South film industry since 2007, it was her participation in the Tamil Big Boss in 2017 that propelled her to stardom. The #OviyaArmy, that is what her fans were known as, became a force to reckon with. Post that stint, she got a lot of offers in films.

Oviya, who had made her acting debut with Malaylam, is all set to make a comeback to the indutry with the Baburaj film Black Coffee.

In an interview with a leading daily, Oviya said, “I am not familiar with the people who work here now (in Mollywood), but I am looking forward to meeting everyone.”

Adding to this she also said, “Everyone is friendly, and they treat you like a family member, not an actress. The work schedules are also different. In Malayalam, we work from 9 am to 9 pm, while the crew would pack up by 6 pm in Tamil. On Kollywood sets, we just head home after work, but here, people discuss their personal lives and stories too and seldom go to caravan like in Tamil.”

Black Coffee is a spinoff of Salt n Pepper, the 2010 film directed by Aashiq Abu. Baburaj who acted in the first movie directs the this film.
