Multiplexes See Race 3 Zoom On Eid Day

Salman Khan starrers are like a treat during Eid and that is what is happening today, as the collections are growing in each and every multiplex chain with every passing show. Here, the programmers of a few multiplex chains share the growth of sales in their respective theatres.

Amar Laykar, Programmer, PVR

The occupancy for Race 3 this morning and this afternoon is around 75 per cent. It is much better than what it was yesterday. The bookings for the evening and the night shows look very good. The late evening and the night shows will mostly run house full.

Satish Kondvilkar, Programmer, Inox

The occupancy for Race 3 in the first half of the day has been approximately 72 per cent. We have high expectations from the evening shows. The advance bookings look great. I imagine the evening shows will run nearly 90 per cent full.

Kaushal Srivastav, Programmer, Cinepolis

Such is the star power of Salman Khan that the shows in the first half of the day ran nearly 80 per cent house full. Above that, it is Eid. People are flocking the theatres in huge numbers. Our expectations from the evening and the night shows are high. Almost all the shows post-morning have been booked in advance.

Nitin Tambat, Programmer, Carnival

The occupancy for the morning for Race 3 has taken a huge leap today. The theatres were close to 80 per cent full, which is very good. The afternoon shows ran to packed houses. We have very high expectations from the evening and the night shows. It is Eid, after all. To top that, Salman Khan has a huge fan base.

Amit Sharma, Programmer, Miraj

The morning shows today ran almost 80 per cent full, a huge jump when we compare it to yesterday. The numbers have almost doubled due to the festive season. Today is the day when a lot of Salman Khan’s Muslim fans have turned up in large numbers. Also, Race is a brand. The advance bookings for the night shows look good.

Manish Seth, Programmer, SRS

My channel has a good percentage of occupancy as compared to yesterday. Including all the morning and afternoon shows, it was around 85 per cent. For the night shows, the theatres seem to be almost house full due to Eid. In Gorakhpur, all shows since the morning have been house full due to Eid.

Yogesh Raizada, Programmer, Wave

All the shows until now were occupied around 72 per cent. This will definitely increase for the night shows, as a majority of people prefer to go out for movies at night. Eid has affected the theatres’ occupancy very positively.

Pushkar Raj, Programmer, City Pride

Today’s occupancy was higher than yesterday’s by around 5 to 10 per cent. For the morning and the afternoon shows, it was around 50 to 55 per cent but it will touch 60 per cent for the night shows. During Eid, people are more likely to go out in the second half of the day.
