Year 2019 has indeed been one the best years for the Hindi film industry and the recent release WAR has further reinforced this fact.
The Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer has shattered all box office records by crossing the Rs 200-crore mark in just seven days of release. That it was a holiday release as it released on October 2 further helped it rake in such massive numbers. WAR has garnered Rs 200.11 crore post seven days in cinema halls.
Moreover, WAR also becomes the first film of Roshan and Shroff, and the fourth Hindi film of 2019, to cross the Rs 200-crore mark. Besides this, WAR is now among the top 20 all-time Hindi grossers following this year's another release Bharat that grossed Rs 200.50 crore in its lifetime.
Apart from WAR, the Rs 200-crore films of 2019 are Kabir Singh (Rs 268 crore), URI: The Surgical Strike (Rs 233.25 crore) and Bharat (Rs 200.50 crore). The collective total of the Rs 100 crore and Rs 200 crore films of 2019 comes to more than Rs 2000 crore!
