Starring Chiranjeevi in the lead, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy boasts of actors from Hindi (Amitabh Bachchan), Tamil (Vijay Sethupathi), Kannada (Kichcha Sudeepa) and Telugu (Jagapathi Babu) film industries. Sadly there are no actors from the Malayalam film industry in the film. But then it was not by design.
At the pre-release event in Kochi, Prithiviraj expressed his disappointment of not being part of the film. “After seeing the footage of the film I am upset that I am not part of it. Chiranjeevi sir had called me to act in it, but unfortunately, I was busy with other projects. And after seeing this I am pleasantly shocked and I really wish I was part of it," he said.
Chiranjeevi revealed that he was keen for Prithviraj to be part of the film; the latter was present at the function. I wanted him for one of the characters in Sye Raa. Unfortunately, we couldn’t cast him because he was in Spain for some other movie. Otherwise, he would be in the movie. We missed you," he said.
At the event, Prithviraj also mentioned that Chiranjeevi has bought the rights of Prithviraj’s directorial Lucifer which starred Mohanlal. “We are looking forward to see you as in the film (Lucifer),” he said.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is all set for an all-India release on October 2. The film which also stars Nayanthara, Tamannaah and Niharika, will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The film is directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan.
